Blagojevich: Despite name, not an Iron Ranger

Tuesday, December 09, 2008 By Aaron Brown

So maybe you're wondering if disgraced Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich is a Serbian or a Croatian.

He's a Serbian. You know how I know? A reliable source called me to tell me that "Croatians don't get mixed up in this sort of thing."

I love living on Minnesota's Iron Range. Serbs and Croats are still fighting. Still.

Here's the other thing: that SOB is making it really hard for East European-Americans to get elected governor of anything. This is very important on the Iron Range.

Not cool, Rod. Not cool.

At least the WSJ mentioned Blagojevich's party, unlike UPI and the New York Times. Yet both UPI and NYT mentioned Larry Craig's affiliation. Hmmmmm
How did the Messi News do reporting party affiliation?

Not that this Blagojevich news should surprise anyone. All Chicago politicians are dirty. Show me one bigtime Chicago politician that hasn't played dirty; from voter fraud to having opponents removed from the ballot to downright criminal activity. You won't find a single clean one.

In your heart you know I am right.

Don't kid yourself, he is no different than any other Chicago politician. There is no such thing as a clean politician from chicago. Period.

What a racist you are to assume he's Serbian not Croatian because he did something bad. And what a smart and reliable source to tell you that out of 5 million Croatians + those living out of Croatia are all good people who never did anything wrong and Serbians are bad just because they are Serbian. And what an ofwull person you are. People are not good or bad, because of their natinality, color, race of religion, but of what they have in their hart and what good or bad they do in their life.

To be clear here, I was making light of the fact that people on the Iron Range still say things like this, after Serbs and Croatians have been living together and intermarrying for generations.
