This was our fourth show and, arguably, our best yet. I think you'll find this to be an excellent listen, funny, sincere and with some of the best music we've ever shared.
The variety show format is an old one, but we're trying something special and new -- bringing a community to life with music, humor and storytelling. We believe in a sense of place and each show takes on a deeply unique feel based on the setting and local talent we recruit.
I'm really proud of this program and what I hope it can do to breath life into northern Minnesota culture. It's so important to me that I'm even backing away from politics, not an easy task for a guy like me.

The show is now available for distribution on public radio stations through PRX, free to independent public stations in Minnesota. If your local station doesn't run the Great Northern, tell them their listeners are missing out. I'll announce news about future rebroadcasts on KAXE/KBXE and other stations down the line.
Our next program will broadcast live from the Edge Center for the Performance Arts in Bigfork, Minnesota, on Saturday, Dec. 15.
